Many of our members will be saddened to hear of the death of Merv Moyle. Merv passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 30 aged 87.
Merv joined the club not long after it’s formation and proudly wore the Number 10. He was a very competitive runner on the track and on the road. If the finish line was in sight he was hard to beat!!.
To many he was known as ‘The silver fox’
He was a member of a number of training groups – King’s Park, Curtin Uni and was always willing to encourage and support new runners.
In the later years when his health was letting him down, he would love to come along to Sunday runs and catch up with old and new friends.
He will be greatly missed.
