Vale Su Lloyd

Sad news for the club as Joe Patroni advises the passing of much loved MAWA member Su Lloyd:

“I am profoundly saddened to advise that the much loved and highly respected, Su Lloyd, has passed away after a terminal illness first diagnosed in May 2013.

Su courageously sought and endured medical treatments to prolong her fulfilling life. In April, Su retired from her role as Western Australia’s Information Commissioner to Europe, where she died peacefully in the company of loved ones.

I will advise further towards the end of May on a private Memorial Service to honour and celebrate Su’s life and legacy, which I anticipate will be held in Perth in late June.

The following notice will be placed in the West Australian Newspaper on Thursday, 10 May and on Saturday 12 May 2018

LLOYD (Su):

Su Lloyd, former WA Information commissioner, has passed away in the company of loved ones whilst on retirement in Europe. Su was much loved and highly respected for her generosity, ethics and professionalism as a concert pianist, teacher, mediator and lawyer. Her passing is a profound loss to family, friends, colleagues and mentees alike.

A private Memorial Service to celebrate her life and legacy will be held in June.

In sorrow, Dr Joseph Patroni.”
