2022 Handicap Trophy Update

On completion of this weekend’s event, the eligible members who can now complete 5 handicap races in this running year and be eligible to lift the Handicap Trophy has been whittled down to 57 members.

With only one of the ten members in the Trophy leadership pack managing to finish in the top ten of this race, it has opened the field for the remaining 47 competitors to make a smash and grab raid on the trophy.

Kim Thomas (#798) took advantage of his top ten finish to close the gap on Rohan Thompson (#1781), with David Adams (#1226) and Clare Wardle (#1255) rounding off the top 4.

Surprising even himself, the handicapper Tristan Bell (#858), with another middle of the pack finish, has managed to edge his way to fifth position in the trophy standings.

The next handicap race is on 26th June in Carine, so plenty of time to fine tune your handicap race tactics, and to make your mark in Handicap Trophy history…or just come for a run.

See you all at the next handicap race
