These flagship MAWA events start next Sunday at Kent Street Weir.
All competitors in the long events win a commemorative engraved medal, while our top runners and walkers compete for the coveted trophies.
The short events have been poorly supported over the past two years. This year we are promoting them more strongly and hoping for a much better turnout, but if numbers are low again we will consider removing them from the events calendar.
To show these events more clearly we are giving them new acronyms – LRRC, SRWC etc.
To clarify on dates, all the events are on the 2 weekly cycle 1st/15th/29th May with one exception. Some members who want to target SRRC may also have their eyes on the 10k Road Championships. To ensure they can do both, the first SRRC 5k will be on the 8th May.
